Community Guidelines
Effective August 10, 2026
Menu is for adults who want to make a real plan and treat the person across the table with care. These rules apply to profiles, photos, messages, reservation proposals, dates arranged through Menu, and contact with our team.
Be authentic
Use your own identity, current photos, accurate age, and truthful relationship intentions. Do not impersonate, catfish, misrepresent affiliation, or operate more than one account.
Respect consent and boundaries
A match is not consent. Do not pressure anyone to share contact details, move off-platform, drink, change locations, engage sexually, or continue a conversation or date. Stop when someone says no, passes, unmatches, blocks, or asks you to stop.
Content and conduct we prohibit
- Harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation, blackmail, or encouragement of violence or self-harm.
- Hate, dehumanization, or discrimination based on protected identity or status.
- Sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, unwanted explicit content, or any sexual content involving a minor.
- Scams, money requests, financial solicitation, phishing, impersonation, trafficking, or deceptive commercial activity.
- Private information about another person, including contact details, workplace, address, or identifying documents.
- Spam, advertising, follower-seeking, recruiting, scraping, bots, or using Menu primarily for business.
- Illegal goods or activity, weapons threats, dangerous organizations, or instructions to evade safety controls.
- Reservation abuse, repeated no-shows, deceptive proposals, unauthorized account access, or intentionally imposing charges on another member.
Photos and profiles
Your primary photo should clearly show you. Do not use another person as your identity, obscure every image, upload graphic violence or explicit nudity, or include children in a way that identifies or sexualizes them. You must have permission to share every photo and video.
Restaurant conduct
Arrive when you confirm, communicate changes promptly, respect restaurant staff, and understand deposit and cancellation terms before accepting. Splitting or paying a bill is a personal agreement between members; Menu does not require one person to pay for another.
Reporting and enforcement
Use in-app report or block controls when available, or contact Support. Menu may remove content, reduce distribution, require verification, restrict features, suspend, or permanently remove an account. Serious or repeated conduct may be reported to law enforcement. We consider context, severity, history, intent, and credible evidence. You may appeal by replying to the enforcement notice or contacting Support.
Emergency situations
Menu is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911 or local emergency services before reporting to Menu. Review the Dating Safety Notice.
